Description
Velvet fitted-waist gown with white satin lined arm tippets
Dress description: Inspired by Tudor fashion, this long, form-fitted gown is made from burgundy velvet and is accented with a gold-colored trim on the arms, shoulders and waist. There is also a gold-colored baroque damask inset in the front of the velvet skirt. The sleeves feature satin-lined tippets hanging down from the upper arm and a more fitted lower arm. The sleeves and skirt give the look of wearing both an over- and under-dress. The dress is fitted at the waist and bodice and then flares out from the hips in a skirt that drapes beautifully. The back of the gown has laces which are used to fasten the dress. To enhance the look, you can wear it with a petticoat or hoop-skirt (to give the dress shape), which is not included here.
